A Millennial Peace Festival Design Workshop was held at the Mercure Hotel, Jakarta on 24-26 August 2018.
For this activity, Convey Indonesia collaborates with the Global Peace Foundation Indonesia (GPFI) to raise awareness and make efforts to prevent radicalism. The event also involved GPFI partners, namely: Jakarta Religious Communication Forum (FKUB), Anti Slander and Hoax Society (Mafindo), BNPT, Peace Generation.
The activities carried out were very dense and the discussion was very interesting, where in general the event for 3 days was divided into 6 sessions:
The purpose of this workshop is to socialize and train the Millennial Peace Festival program to local coordinators and activity partners and build good coordination between Convey Indonesia and the Global Peace Foundation Indonesia. The result of this workshop is the concept and technical implementation of the Millennial Peace Festival program which will be held in 6 cities (Jakarta, Bandung, Palangka Raya, Pekanbaru, Surabaya, and Makassar).
It is hoped that this workshop can read the implementation of activities as formulated, so that young people (Millennials) especially in big cities in Indonesia can understand a good understanding of the dangers of radicalism and can play an active role in preventing the spread of radicalism with a focus on peace and respect for what exists.
