Trying to ward off radicalism and the dangers of hoax news spreading in society, especially the younger generation, Convey Indonesia organized a series of talk shows and campaigned for the message of peace through songs. One of them was with the title Wudu, performed by J-Rocks.
In Sapa Indonesia Pagi, Monday (5/2), Senior Researcher at the Center for Islamic and Community Studies at PPIM UIN Jakarta, Ali Munhanif and guitarist for the J-Rocks group, Sony Ismail Robayani, described this campaign. Convoy Indonesia stated that the potential of young people who were found to be tempted to become or join radical groups was up to 61%.
Because of this vulnerability, young people must be equipped with sufficient knowledge. Convoy Indonesia’s strategy in attracting young people is to provide space for music groups to participate. J-rocks also has the same view. This band wants young people in Indonesia to tolerate each other, respect differences, and love peace.
