Citing the multi-faceted and fast-growing violent extremism, CONVEY Indonesia released the results of survey and research in a series of meetings with policy makers. We recognized that the policy engagement that CONVEY Indonesia had executed still required more efforts to push stakeholders to formulate more comprehensive and robust data-based policies. On the other hand, although the government had taken measurements to counter violent extremism in Indonesia, the coordination between governmental bodies in making effective policies still became a challenge. Therefore, it would be necessary to hold regular policy meetings related to, but not limited to: 1) strengthening religious moderation in Indonesia; 2) strengthening religious moderation in producing Islamic education teachers; 3) strengthening religious moderation for the Islamic teaching agents; 4) strengthening religious moderation in Islamic education in public universities; and 5) strengthening religious moderation in the mosques.
